Robotic Systems and Enabling Technologies for Minimally Invasive Surgery
2:00pm - 3:30pm
Lecture Theatre H

Minimally invasive and non-invasive procedures represent the overall development trend of modern surgical operations. Minimally invasive surgical robots not only enable surgeons to better control surgical instruments and observe lesions and surgical sites, but also reduce surgeon fatigue and minimize surgical errors. Based on clinical needs, this talk first introduces the development of minimally invasive surgical robots from the perspective of system evolution, summarizing the characteristics of various enabling technologies. Secondly, it focuses on analyzing the continuum surgical robot technology and proposes a continuum surgical robot system framework. Finally, the presenter introduces innovative achievements in the field of continuum surgical robots and provides detailed explanations of the research background, innovations, methodologies.
